About Erica

Erica Hill is an accomplished real estate professional who has rarely faltered on her journey to success. Hill works at Keller Williams Realty, an international real estate agency that uses the interdependent model of real estate to deliver the best experience to clients. Hill has had an enormous amount of success through hard work and dedication to her craft.

Early Career

Erica Hill grew up the state of Maryland in an area located right outside Washington D.C. She continued to live there until she started a family of her own. At that point, she moved to Florida with her daughter for a change in lifestyle. This move opened many doors for her. After moving there, she took a position as a loan officer for one the country’s largest lenders. She continued to work in lending for a while, but experienced trouble during the lending crisis; every bank she worked for kept getting shut down. At this point, Hill decided to become a mortgage broker. This way, she could have access to multiple lenders and would not be affected by the shutdowns of individual banks, protecting her and her daughter from the lender crisis.

This worked out well, but ultimately, Erica wanted to transfer to the real estate side of the industry. Although she had worked in the lending industry, in 1985 Erica had also obtained her real estate license, and in 1990 began working in direct real estate sales. During this professional transition, many other parts of Hill’s life changed as well. One big change was that she got remarried. A short time later, Hill knew that she wanted to build a large business that would sell hundreds of homes per year. Erica wanted to move to an environment that lent itself to building a company while raising a family. And thus, she moved her family to Boise, Idaho. With its strong sense of community and its reasonable population, Boise provided the groundwork that allowed Hill to grow her business.

Introduction to Keller Williams Realty

In the late 1990s, Erica was presented with a life-changing opportunity. She met Gary Keller, the cofounder of the revolutionary real estate agency, Keller Williams Realty. Keller Williams takes a unique approach to real estate transactions, establishing a system that is beneficial for all parties involved. The company provides education that allows associates to build their wealth. Hill was impressed by this business model and knew that this was a team she would love to be a part of. She felt that through a position there, she could help agents do in one year what it had taken her ten years to accomplish. Keller Williams’ headquarters was in Austin, near Gary Keller’s home, so Hill took the initiative to bring the company to Idaho in 1999. Within this franchise, and under Erica’s leadership, the Boise franchise would grow to become one of the most successful in the Keller Williams system. The company has ballooned from 6,000 members in 1999 to a staggering 130,000 in 2016.

Erica Hill has fought a long battle to get where she is, moving around the country and working to provide for her children. Typically a male-dominated field, at many points people were shocked to see a woman in her position. Erica Hill has persevered through each struggle she has encountered. Her franchise has been awarded numerous awards such as; highest profit share, highest overall profit, highest number of units sold, outselling all other individual franchises in units. Her franchise has consistently remained at the top of the charts in all categories and currently remains in the top 10 out of over 700 Keller Williams franchises internationally.

She has since moved to work in Los Angeles and expanded the company even further. She has now replaced herself with another dedicated real estate professional, who currently oversees the Los Angeles region. Erica is an extremely accomplished real estate professional who values true customer service.
